    This new type suspension cone tool for removing or refitting the rubber suspension cone is METRIC thread only and uses a hex (allen) key to screw in and hold the centre spindle. All suspension cones hve been metric since 1976. There cannot be many cars left out there with the AF type thread suspension cones, as they can need changing after 5-7 years in really hot climates but at least every ten years or 20,000 miles as they do start to sag. After initial settling any noticable dropping over time means they are ready for replacement.
